A Brief SMT Hiatus

Hey everybody - Rory here,

For nearly the last four years, we’ve worked to make sure any lapse in podcast releases were few and far between. There are going to be some hiccups in the next month around SMT and Infinite Backlog releases. These hiccups may include my absence; if the other guys want to keep recording, they have my full blessing and I am not leaving the show(s). But, I am in need of some personal time which coincides with the practical need to replace some recording equipment.

On Friday the 12th, I was drugged and robbed. I’ll spare everyone the messy details, but will say it seems unlikely that I was violated beyond what was necessary to knock me out and liberate me of the few belongings I brought with me here. My memory of the weekend is foggy to say the least, and Monday I began the process of dealing with the theft, the police, changing the keys, etc. As of now, I have not replaced my recording equipment but it is high up on the to-do list. I just ask for your patience and we’ll be back on the air in no time.

For the next 3 or 4 weeks I expect, we will be re-releasing some of our favorite specials, so if you haven’t been on this journey with us from day one, I think there’s a few goodies in there for you to rub into your ears.

Anybody inclined to reach out is welcome to, but don’t feel obligated or worried - I’m on the other side of the tunnel, tired, but out of the dark.
